Noisy Brakes

I have recently replaced the servo on my 1975 V8 SII auto.
It has also had recon front calipers and new brake hoses fitted as well as a recon master cylinder in last 5 years.

Despite this the brakes are noisy - not just squeeling which I can cure- but also what can best be described as a squelching noise.

I have noticed that 1 rear caliper is leaking slightly but do not think this is the cause of the noises............any ideas?

Do you get the squelch when you press the pedal? I would say there is some air in the line also the leaky rear wouldn't help.

If the rear leaks it fills the dust cover and quite a lot of fluid can collect here.

I would sort out the leaks first and then renew and bleed the fluid. The squelch may disapear, also try lubricating the pedal.

Thanks guys - Have fixed rear caliper but squelch still remains.

Will bleed again this time following the method in the Rover manual doing back to front.

I was hoping for a simpler solution like the air control valve which I notice has stopped hissing............. :0
