After being down to just one P6 for a considerable period I've just fallen off the wagon again.
Some time ago I got a tip off and went to have a look at a one owner Wedgwood 1965 2000, which was for sale, in a very low profile way, at Saltford, near Bristol.
The car had been off the road some years, but didn't appear to need too much to get back on the highway.
Well recently push has come to shove, and deal done, she's coming back to Surrey in the next couple of weeks. I've long hankered for another good useable road car, something that can be used all weathers if need be, daily driven to a degree and parked in a car park without fear, and she fits the bill.
I've never bought a P6 from the original owner before. All the paperwork is there including the bill of sale. She's a West County lass. First registered 12th July 1965, she's a later 'B' suffix car.

At the moment a stuck starter motor means she's not moving under her own power and access is difficult to try and sort this until she gets back here. 57k miles from new.
The owner put the car back on the road after some years off circa 1999, he rebuilt the brakes (a definite bonus) and she is running DOT 5 fluid. Sadly though there's a lack of said fluid at the moment in the reservoir. Finding out quite where it's gone will be the first job. If the servo has gone I'll be looking at putting on a Type 7 Lockheed servo for more pedal power.
Interior very nice, carpets were new a few years ago. She has had a fair amount of welding.
Paint is OK on the top of the car, but the wings (new in the late 1990's) have peeling paint issues. I shall look at how best to address this shortly.
More to follow!
