Hi All,

just bought the '71 mexico brown 3500 i've been asking you about (rust and smell). The car was first delivered to Switzerland (so no salt in winter!) and in the 90's imported to Germany. Has had two previous owners as far as i know, and very limited use in the last few years.
Interior is leather, buckskin in really nice patinated condition, but not free of smell...

I "only" have to drive it to Belgium now, where i live and try and get a MOT for the car. Very excited!

You'll probably be seeing more of me and the car in the future.

cheers, marco.

Well done Marco. Certainly looks as if you've got yourself a really nice example there. Very smartly presented. I shouldn't think you'll have any trouble getting through the Belgian MOT. Enjoy the drive home.

Looks great, and given the examination you have undertaken should give you years of fun.
Enjoy.

It indeed did pass the belgian MOT without any troubles.
Just a few things to keep an eye on, which have already been repaired in the last month.
The car runs, drives and feels great. The smell is even somewhat better after a thorough cleaning of the carpets.
Really happy!
