New head gaskets - changing both gasgets

I have to change both headgaskets on my nice series one P6 V8 from 1969. The engine usually runs perfect so i have decided to isolate the repair to the needed gasket change. have understood i shall change the "hydraulic rockers " as well, but can anyone kindly advise me if i/we shall observe somethinge else of importance just for this type of job. Is there a nice shortcut og good advise someone of experience can give me? It will be most appreciated and received with great joy :) kind regards from Denmark.

The car has never been rotten - kept indoor at all times, now carefully painted and in top top condition - except enginebay which i have not done due to the "perfect" engine and automatic box which is totally in order.

If you're talking about replacing the hydraulic lifters at the same time, it's not worth doing without replacing the camshaft as well.

Replacing the gaskets is fairly straightforward, just be careful not to damage the aluminium when cleaning up, and use the correct bolt sealer on re-assembly.

Thank you very much - most appreciated!!

If you're changing the cam, may as well just pull the engine and refurb the bottom end.
You can get it dynamically ballanced at the same time.

For about a grand you can have an engine that will happily rev to 7000rpm.
