Yes ,I was being a bit cryptic. Sorry
I managed to score a grab handle.
Oh no how will your wife read the map light when you go Rallying with that God awful grab handle in the way!

A friend of mine has a series 2 V8 that he bought around 40 years ago & it had one then (& still has).Im not sure these grab handles were available on the series 2.
Never seen one mounted before
I have a grab handle but haven't managed to get around to fitting it yet.
Can you actually use it with the map light there? I was considering moving the map light but as I said, haven't got around to it yet
I guess this is why one sees so many classic cars at auto shows with masses amount of accessories that no one bothered with back in the day
Visibility and Reversing. I tried a boot mounted spare once.Obviously "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", but boot-mounted spare wheels & badge bars really don't do it for me
Three of us drove through France in ‘Hazel’ a few years ago & the boot was fine, but perhaps not with four?
Placing the wheel flat in the boot is a big help. (My sharkstooth 2000 however doesn’t have the bump in the boot well for this….)
