Hi all
In November, some Norwegians are coming to Birmingham to the NEC Classic Motor show.http://www.necclassicmotorshow.com We are staying from thursday to sunday evening. If any of you members of the forum are coming to the show it would have been a pleasure to meet you.

I have never been there, but I guess it should be possible to arrange a meeting place and time.

Does this sound interesting to you?

I'll, in all likelyhood, be there the whole time. Have one of my cars on the The Rover P6 Club stand, and may well have another newly restored car in the Automart (well that's the plan, if it's completed in time)

Be good to meet you.

Got my tickets for Saturday so looking forward to seeing the club stand and meeting you guys.

Dave

Hi,

Unfortunately the P6 Rover Owners Club have withdrawn from NEC this year due to lack of help. Hopefully they will be back there next year.

Brenda

We are sorry to hear that the P6ROC will not be present at this year's Classic Motor Show at the NEC.
However all is not lost for all you diehard P6 Enthusiasts because you can still come and see the 10 P6 display on The Rover P6 Club stand in Hall 3 stand number 3C44 just inside the hall entrance. All P6 enthusiasts, owners & drivers are welcome.
Don't forget to say hello and sign the stand visitor book. And while you are walking around the show look out for Nick Dunning's P6 on CJ Auto's trade display...it should be up in the air!!!!!!!

More details available at http://www.p6club.com

CJ's have three stands at the NEC demonstrating different lifts...not sure what my car will be doing yet, but it should be pretty visible!

I'm all packed and ready to head down to Brum after work tomorrow for the show on Sat. I'm taking the Rover too so toot if you see me. I've got my floor plan and found your stand Mark so I'll say hello.

Hope to see a few more of you there on Sat. I'll be wearing my P6 badge prominently so give me a nudge if you see me.

Enjoy the show.

cheers

Dave

Up at 7 all dressed and ready to go .... but just cannot get out of my head the picture of Jeremy Beadle and his police car at this years show..... i have decided without malice, I cannot be arsed  I wonder if anyone has told Mr Beadle yet, that he has got the wrong parcel shelf and too many panel bolts in his deep chin spoiler!!

I'm back at home temporarily (had to come back as my little boy has been quite unwell) but we will be heading back up for the final knockings at the NEC early tomorrow morning.

Here's a view of some of the RP6C stand. Barry Gill's superb mega low mileage (6500 miles on the clock) Venetian Red 1968 2000TC is at the front.

It's quite a spectacular show, and well, well, worth it, if anyone's sitting on the fence about paying a visit.

HUC, my 2200 auto, is in Hall 2, on her lonesome on a small CJ Autos stand, surrounded flash, fast trolley dolly wearers of the blue oval.

Are they demonstrating some repair on your car ?

No - thankfully - just lifting it up and down on the front demonstrating a new bit of kit (but, alas, I don't think I'll get a free one for borrowing my car!)

Holy cow! Barry Gill's car is almost identical to mine! Nice!

It's pretty stunning - black leather is always the one that ages the worst - the interior in this one is MINT.

Probably the best TC in the world, barring Denis Chick's totally unbelievable white with buffalo 7000 miler 1966 car,

which I've not seen in several years. Superlative.

(Keen eyed viewers will have spotted this is the same P6 modelled for the rare Gaydon Lledo 2000TC in 1999).
