Gareth, have you got the scoops connected up to the air cleaner?

Should look even better once painted.

Gareth,

Good to see it arrived OK. I hope my packaging was up to scratch? :D It looks really good on the car, and it'll be even better when its painted!

I loved how it looked on the car, really makes them look a bit special!

Anything else i can help with just ask!

Phil

Not bad at all.. I love the way they look, which is why I had it on the car that I sold to speedy in the first place. Just makes them look a little different.. Be good to see it once it's been painted.

yea well i have had problems with this bonnet to be honest speedy said it was in good condition found 4 dents on it and loads of marks all over it which i have been trying to sort out just to get it throught the shows this year to be honest it needs to be stripe back to bar metal and start from sctratch whitch i have not got the time to do it so it will have to go to a body shop to get done

It is in good condition. Remember that this is a 40 year old bonnet that started off life as burnt grey, was then painted red in the States and now has primer on it. It was sitting around for a decade and was then shipped back to the UK in a container.. it's good, not perfect, and as I know what you paid for it (compared with what Rover Classics for instance sells them for), you got a bloody good bargain.

Gareth, as im not in the mood to argue, and you obviously dont like the bonnet, I'll arrage a DHL collection from your address (I still have it) On Tuesday for you! All i ask is its wrapped up as it was, and I'll paypal you the money back! :D

Many people have profited from my recent misfortune...some have been ok about it, and sympathetic, some have been a constant pain in the A**e, always ringing, PM'ing and messaging trying to get an already time consuming and difficult process sped up!

As Chris says, you got a bargin...do some research and see what they normal fetch. But, I'll be glad to take it back off you and sell it to someone who will actually appreciate it...and understand that a 40 year old panel will not be absolutely mint!

Just let me know if Tuesday is good and I'll sort it.

Cheers,
Phil

Is this the NADA car I picked the doors up from? When they arrived, they did look a little tired but thats to be expected of a car thats been shipped over the Atlantic and back, in between 40 years of use.

If the panels are solid and they do the job they're suppose to then you can only except to have to do some work to them, its simply the nature of Classic Car restoration and maintaining. If you can't get is from new, then I guess you've got to make whats available fit your needs.

Phil, did you by chance sell a NADA grill on ebay about a fortnight ago? Was bidding on that but forgot about it so it ended up going to someone else. Looked quite nice too.

A few dents is really no big deal =it's when you buy a panel decribed as sound and it's rotten / full of filler that you have reason to be pee'd off

hi phill no its fine m8 well i have done all the work on it now and it looks great yea i know i had a bargin it does look great now here are the photos

Yep, it is. I only needed the chassis for my project, so all of the NADA bolt-ons have been taken off..
