My P6 just passed its MOT

Did not know where to post this post as its P6 related but of a general nature.

Anyway, my P6 has a bright and shiny new MOT. :D I'm replacing the two rear tyres tomorrow as I had to fit the spare to get throw the MOT as some mupet had fitted the wrong size wheel to the rear. MOT guy was good on this, he just checked the spare (its legal but just) and said change it and I'll give you the MOT. :) The other rear one was a bit cracked and old, I had though it looked old even before the MOT guy pointed it out. £40 each. (approx) I'll whiz the wheels down to them tomorrow.

Best day of the year so far!!!!!!!! :D

Excellent News ! Even better days to come when you start using it in anger !

Please be very careful with old tyres, I used some old ones to turn my project round the other day, and one of them blew a hole in the sidewall when I inflated it. Wouldn't have fancied that happening at speed !

OK it was very old and was showing plenty of splitting in the sidewall before I inflated it, but still, it's made me think twice about old tyres.

Ive just got my TR6's mot yesterday after its 18month stripdown, repaint, and rebuild!
The first drive for 18months it was BRILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I took the long way to the MOT station :p Its only 1 mile away but it took me nearly an hour :D Had to make sure it all worked as it should!! :;):

I did the same. :D Just in case it needed more work I though take the a small detour just to savour the feeling. It seems so much smoother and quieter with the new engine too. :)

Yer I thought the same, the tyre shops are supposed to put a hole in their stock when it reaches 5 years old. That's why I'm getting two new ones on the back tomorrow. I'll drop the wheels of and go and get the Road Tax while they put the new tyres on. :D

Annoying thing, I've got lots of work to do so no slacking off to take the car out. :( Well i'm sure I can sneak a few little drives. :;):

Yeah, nice one Richard, when you comng over to the mainland with her?
