My mean green hornet

Another long break between postings I know. Business flowing nicely has afforded me some time to reflect on the P6 project. So much thought and energy has been put into the shell I started feeling the drivetrain may not do it justice quite the way I’d like it too..so…

Here’s the new gearbox

It’s a 7 speed Porsche PDK box from a Panamera. Dual Clutch semi automatic, can be used in full auto mode or with driver input (paddles in factory Porsches, sequential style shifter planned for the P6)

If that wasn’t exciting enough, it’ll be behind an LS crate engine.

So I’ve got a lot of RV8 goodies going up for sale along with the built ZF hybrid box.

Most impressive any way you think about it.
Harking back to 2013 and talk about waisted stem exhaust valves, attached is a page from the 3.5-3.9-4.2 RR/Disco manual (Pub LR0164ENG 2nd ed 2003) on carbon break exhaust valves, as well as the whole manual....This is relevant to a 94 Disco 3.9L engine I have - block is HRC2411 casting, heads are HRC2479. Original exhausts are not waisted, but I have such valves ready to go in. It is a suffix B engine, so the heads have the smaller chambers, with almost exactly 1mm machined off the face.
Re the ZF 422 gearbox, I saw quite a few do some very hard work in the Saudi desert while I was there 1994-late 2002, so it should have a long life in a much lighter body.
