More Badges

No, he's hoping.

He's also selling one, yes one, engine side plate for £50 and reckons thats a low start.

He's trying to make some poor soul think they'll bag a bargain.

Judging by the user id, and then checking out www.roverland.eu I suspect that is Adrian Bailey, who used to have Roverland in Leeds, I bought a few parts from him at the time (we are talking about 18 years ago now), including a 2.2 engine and a complete new front strut etc. He's an "interesting" character. Never had any problems with him or his parts, never the cheapest, but there you go.

I have bought a few NOS bits from him over the years usually when they come up at bargain prices, always found him helpful.

Where else can you buy the correct badge? some one will interested in getting a mint one at any price so good luck to them and when it sells someone will be happy.

I think you were just lucky there Nick, I bought a NOS boot badge off eBay just a few months ago for £80, hence I thought to put £80 as a "low start" was a bit hopeful.

Certainly is hoping for the sideplate though, Steve Walker will do the full set for not much more!

I sold a genuine 'new old stock' boot mount badge still in the box, a couple of years ago and it sold for £160 on ebay.

That said I didn't advertise mine sat in snow! .........I displayed it on top of the box.

I still have the rest of the new kit still in it's original Rover box, ready to install on a P6 one day. And before you ask Brian, I haven't forgot to go and look at the red arm for you. I just haven't got up into the loft yet.

The boot badge I sold for the serious money was a 'silver ship' one - e.g. an early one without the gold on it. Rarer, (up to about 1968 I think) - but as it's not Series II, probably not as sought after (so I thought)...

I am not going to be selling my nos bonnet and boot badges until I no longer have a P6!
Will keep them along with the other nos stuff in my display cabinet. :)
