Its like saying an MGB is a Rover!!
 
They can therefore be called what ever you likel IE; Austin,Morris,Jag,Rover,Triumph,
Now a Jags a tarted up Ford Mondeo or a Rover 75,a Mini is a BMW lookalike!
The last so called Rovers were really Honda's!
My Triumph TR6 is really an Austin drop top,and the Rover P6V8 is a big Morris executive saloon! :LOL:
I reckon the Mini is really a baby Jag! :wink:
So sad that the British car industry,and gov't sold out to foreign investors who knew how to run a business properly!!
Maybe we need a foreign prime minister to sort this country out! :shock: :wink:
 
Pilkie, you should have watched this weeks Minder re-run and Arthurs "British is Best" campaign on his car lot........ shot in 1991, all he could put up front behind all the Datsuns and Hondas, was a load of Sierras and Escorts .. made me chuckle. The only British motor, his own S3 Daimler Sovereign ... which I suppose is a Rover ish???
