MGBD

I have bought parts from MGBD and was very pleased with the quality and reasonable prices.

Delivery was excellent and you can rely on the knowledge of the people there.

Wholeheartedly recommend them

Richard

We have been asked so many times now, that I have added a pictorial guide to rebuilding a rear P6 Girling caliper onto our website at

http://roverp6parts.com/roverp6rearcaliper.html

The keen eyed amongst you will note that the caliper is actually a Mark 4 Zephyr/Zodiac version of the rear Girling caliper and doesn't have a P6 handbrake cam arm because this pictorial guide was initially done some time ago for one of our Zodiac customers.

Plus very early internals: The spacers on the posts and the early block.

I haven't rebuilt one using those parts for years, I always put the later bits in.

Nevertheless lots of nice pictures giving a good idea of how it all goes together.

I've not been able to look at this yet as it won't work on any of my mobile devices. Is it any different from the sticky in the "brakes" section, that quattro did?

Dave

It's a series of photos showing the reassembly process from a bare caliper body up to the completed unit, so it will be covering the same ground as Quattro's thread, but with the early internals.

Works fine on a proper computer.
And you can see the pics better on the large screen. :)

DUE TO A CLOSE FAMILY MEMBER WHO IS GRAVELY ILL IN HOSPITAL, WE ARE CURRENTLY STRUGGLING TO KEEP UP WITH COMMUNICATIONS BOTH PHONE AND MORESO EMAIL. ALSO THE DISPATCH OF SOME ORDERS HAVE SUFFERED, ESPECIALLY THE IN-HOUSE REFURBISHED PARTS, eg Calipers, Servos etc. UNFORTUNATELY OUR PROBLEMS ARE EXACERBATED BY THE 70 MILE ROUND TRIP TO THE HOSIPTAL AND EXTENDED VISITING HOURS. We are however endeavouring to dispatch all orders as PROMPTLY as we possibly can but we please ask for your patience during these very trying times.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT.

Does anyone know if Mark and Angie have resumed trading after their family illness? I know that their e-commerce site is still up and running but I have orders now outstanding for more than 6 months and get no response to emails. Thanks.

Got a head gasket set from them last week. I know they are in Portugal this week for an annual Rover show there.
