The Rover Community Action Trust (registered charity) have organised a
rally on the anniversary of MG Rovers closure, to celebrate the cars,
the workers and the owners, on 15th April 2006 at Cofton Park.

It will start at Hopwood Services, meeting at 11am, leaving between
11:30 and midday.

The rally will go from Hopwod to Cofton Park, opposite Q-Gate, via
Lickey Road.

This event also celebrates the anniversary of 26th April 1906, when a
dinner was held to commemorate the first car off the track at
Longbridge, namely an Austin 23-30 bhp (bless), which was registered in
Herbert Austins name.

If anyone would like to be involved, please post your name here. If you
need any more info, the organiser is Gemma Cartwright, Chair of the
charity, and her number is 07766 932200.

The police and council have both given approval for this to go ahead.

There will be a marquee at the park with refreshments available, so
please make the effort to go along and support the charity, they have
done a brilliant job in the last year.

Please pass this on to other forums and anyone who may be interested.

Any of you with race / rally cars, bringing them along would be great
too ;-)

Thanks everyone, and sorry if you would prefer not to have received this
email.

Best regards,
Beverley Miles
