Mating SD1 BW66 to Landrover 3.5.....

Hi,
I'm assuming these two will mate together with no issues. Anything I need to be aware of/tricks to make sure it goes smoothly?
Cheers,
Rob.

Flexplate and spigot bush need to be RV8 BW35/65, and if it's a proper BW66 you will need the converter to match the box. Make sure that the converter is properly mated into the front pump before trying to mate the engine and box together.

That sounds about what I have, I believe. Is there a trick to getting the torque converter to sit in the 3 clicks, or just line it up and spin it clockwise for a bit (how we used to do it in Holdens)?

Sounds good to me.

You can take measurements from the belhousing join to the flexplate surface and from the bellhousing join to the bolt holes on the converter, compare those and that will tell you whether you are in far enough.

Looks like the bolts to mate the two together didn't make it across the Nullabor. I'll pop down to the local fastener place, but can someone please tell me what specs (length/size/thread - high tensile?) bolts are required? Cheers, Rob.
