low dust brake pad option if anyone knows of brand and number

hi I have recently got my p6 on the road after a few trial and tribulations,
now my problem is the front brake pads that are trw produce a hell of a lot of brake dust, with in 200km my tyres and front wheels are black.( white walled tyres) me personally, I hate brake dust, especially on my wheels the fact that I have to cleen my wheels twice a week is not on my fun list of things to do.. its almost up there with mowing the lawn twice a week. or trying to lay a cable after being on codeine for a week.

any recommendations would be helpful.
im in Australia so choice of pads is slim I don't mind importing a set that is low dust in the real world.
btw 1976 p6 3500 girling brakes.

I have also have TRW pads (here in the UK) and I find the same! Would also be interested in what the forum thinks.

I am afraid that the days of low brake dust were finished along with asbestos. Between the two i would always prefer the (relatively harmless) dust of the new pads.

Hi, If you don't want the dust, don't use the brakes. Seriously though how about fitting dust shields to the back of the wheel, presumably they are alloys. The steel wheels don't have this problem because they don't have holes in.

You only real choice is to look for NOS pads. Anything made in the last 10 years or so isn't going to be low dust.

I have been using pads made by Australian Friction Industries (Liverpool in Sydney) for over 20 years and have never had issues with excessive brake dust.
