Servo would affect performance,
Thanks everyone..... realy helpfulHi All
I've been slowly losing brae fluid over the last 2 weeks. Got sometime tomorrow to investigate. Any common prblems I should look for? It's a P6B auto. The brake servo was replaced about a year ago by Colin Gould.
Any hints gratefully received
Thanks
Richard
When my master had a leak it did not go into the footwell as normally happens. Somehow the dust cap kept the oil from leaking inside the car so the oil ended up leaking inside the cavity and dripped onto the suspension rubbers. I was under the impression that either the reservoir leaked or the pipe between the reservoir and the brake pipe leaked so replaced those first. Now the suspension rubbers need replacing as they have gone soft and spongy.
thanks all..... as noted new master cylinder was needed due to corrosion internally. really fiddly job with limited room to work.... but all done now.I wouldn't bother to reseal it 9 out of 10 master cylinder bores will be badly corroded.
By a new one ( not new old stock as many are at least 30 years old )
It's a single line system with no safety features so don't scrimp on anything brake related.
