Live feed wanted !

Currently installing an electric fan and electric fuel pump, both via relays.
Ok, both relays require a + connection.
I am not the electric hero, so where`s the best to get a live feed for these two relays ?
On the inner wing rh side (it is a lh car) there is a relay (6R.. or so) with a live feed or should I wire directly through the car to the battery ? Both relays have a fuse.
The 2nd question is a little bit puzzling for me (too). The black wire from the dizzy normally should be connected to "+" of the coil, I think. But, the wire from the dizzy has a male connector, the coil, for sure, also.

First of all, either use fused relays, or add a new small fuse box to feed your new consumptions.
The fuel pump does not require much current, but the fan does, so it needs a healthy supply.
The best approach should be to pull a suitable gauge live line from the starter motor relay permanent live and feed with this line a new fuse box with say, 4 fuses that you will locate somewhere within the engine bay. Then from one of the fuses you can feed the relay of the fuel pump, and from another the relay of the fan. And you will have 2 spare fuses for future use. Obviously use the appropriate amperage fuses for each application.

This is what i did for my A/C installation, adding a second fuse box in the engine bay, and a bank of relays to feed the compressor clutch, fan, horns (a good idea in any case) and starter solenoid (not originaly installed).

Good idea, Demetris,
Do you know, where the starter motor relay is located at the later V8 ?

Found another thread, where the starter relay was shown. It´s the one on the inner wing rh side near bulkhead.

On a negative earth car the negative terminal on the coil should be wired to the points.

One Step Beyond (Madness). Thanks for it. Now I have to take care for the male connectors on both sides (negative on the coil is also male...).
