Leaking petrol tank - P4 . 75 . 1958

Does anyone have any experience with adhesive repairs to the petrol filler neck?

I accidentally drilled into fuel tank when trying to fit electric pump nearby. I bought a sealer for it. consisting a tube of resin ? that simply squirted into and over hole like black toothpaste. ( ensuring area was clean/dry of course) next day had set like concrete . that was over 123 years ago and never leaked since. sadly cannot recall name it was sold as. good luck though.

JB Weld do a petrol resistant epoxy putty called Tank Weld.

I haven't used it so cannot guarantee it, but JB do have a good name. The substrate's got to be super clean though

thats probably what I used . can't find old tube though ..probably went off ( hard) with age so thrown out.

I've only used JB Weld but it's very good indeed.
