Hi everyone,

For those that dont know i've had a bit of a rough time recently culminating in surgery on my spine on saturday. Whilst on this occasion it seems that everything is well, it did occcur to me that i'm a potential point of failure of the forum so i think i somehow need to make sure someone else knows how to keep it running if i couldnt for some reason. I dont want to do anything complicated, but thought i'd put this out there in case there is someone else here who's ITish enough to have admin access and sql access in case of emergencies. Let me know if that is you :)

Thanks,

Rich

Crikey. Here's wishing you all the very best, Rich. I'm not the IT guy you (we) need, I'm afraid. Just wanted to send you some love!

All the best for a speedy recovery Rich.

The IT bod is not me I'm afraid. I am sure that with a few screws and a bent coat hanger you could make your laptop hover over you whilst laying on your back ? What else are you going to do to occupy your time ?

Aww thanks guys :) I'm getting better every day. The internet is well surfed and i've got much better at sudoku.

Can't wait till I'm allowed to sit up for longer periods as I have plenty I can do then.

Best wishes from me too Rich.

I do have some experience of SQL so could, at a pinch, help out, and am willing to step up. But, and it's a big but, I've come to the conclusion that I have some form of attention deficite disorder (only took half a century to figure out) which makes me lousy at getting tedious things done. Or in other words, I'd put it out if it was on fire, but probably not get around to paying the bill for the water.

I'm just after someone trusted to be a plan b. I hope we never have to use it.

Here's hoping for a speedy exit from your bed and a lifting of the "light duty" restriction to your daily operating permit as well as a solution to your IT search. Having recently had fibre installed at home and the subsequent fight to get it working properly, I realise that my Disco 2 and P38 are about the ceiling for me, technologically, so I sadly cannot offer my name up to help, unless you want it totally bolloxed up, in which case, send me a PM...
