The Rover P6 Club is involved in the 'Joint Rover Clubs' venture with several other Rover inspired car clubs in a spirit of joint cooperation to promote the future of not only P6’s but all cars carrying the Rover badge. The 5 clubs involved with the JRC are as follows:

Rover P4 Drivers Guild

Rover P5 Club

Rover P6 Club

Rover SD1 Club

Rover Sports Register

The main areas of cooperation include events, insurance, commonality of parts & regalia and most importance, cost efficiency in areas such as magazine costs, whilst at all times maintaining club independence. The first area that is publicly visible is that of events and we have several JRC events planned for 2010. Check out the JRC Events Diary for more details at http://www.jointroverclubs.org.uk or http://www.p6club.com/node/259 or Email jrc@p6club.com

Sounds a good idea - must be room for a really big Joint Rover Rally - is the magazine idea just to get the printing costs for individual mags down, or are we ever likely to see one mag filled with sections from each club - I would enjoy reading about other Rover models, and would have thought with enough "volume" we could have a rover mag to rival what you see from the MG clubs ...

I love the joint club events, they are so much bigger, and you can get more experience with different cars, and the more clubs in an event, the more likely there is a range of classic car conditions - one member of a certain club may bring a concourse car, and another a good event going car, and another a 'scruffy' every day car, however not all every day cars are scruffy. as i found out at this years RSR joint club event National. that was really good fun.

Don't forget the Rover P6 Club National Rally at Hawkesyard Estate, Rugeley, Staffs, on Sunday 26th September 2010 is also open to all Rovers from the Joint Rover Club's venture and any other Rovers, so there will be a variety on display.
The RP6C, since it was founded in 1993, has actively encouraged the regular use of P6's and has always encouraged members to attend events with their cars regardless of the condition. This is one of the reasons that we have always had at least one everyday user car on our display at the most prestigious events like NEC.
The Club represents all P6's "coroded to concours" equally and at the same time we encourage the whole family to get involved, whether it's polishing or fixing them.
