I've always wondered if the roof line is the same height, if the windscreen is the same and if so, does it have the same rake? F*ing beautiful little coupe. I agree the side trim should follow the panel - not droop at either end lol. I wonder how long the door is, too....would love to get a hold of some measurements....That radio aerial should have been retractable and frenched into a rear guard IMO.

This is the two liter Graber coupé, at a car show in 2019.

The high side trims, squished upwards to between the door push button and the door handle, and curving downwards at either end, are just wrong. The wing mounted antenna is also pretty egregious.

Not really my cup of tea though plenty on here drool over the concept. To me it looks like a Volvo Amazon gone badly wrong.

How have I never seen this before, just fantastic, 70's club racing....

If you can't wait go straight to where Roy Pierpoint in his P6 racer makes a slow drive past.

Like the soundtrack!

Great thanks.
Have sent a link to the video to Roy Pierpoint.

OK, so it's the Non-Technical - Lounge Area. Ah what the hell, these are strange times and to keep the eclectic nature going, here's to me a fascinating and graphic explanation to why the V8 owner's 5 & 7 cylinder ignition leads should not be run parallel through any of the clips.

Or was it that the rear end of that car is click bait....

Very interesting watch. That type of leakage without any spark jumping across wires is new to me. I was amazed that by putting the shield over the firing wire caused a complete halt in spark.
I immediately thought of the plug wire routing on the Lotus twincam. On a lot of Elans the wires all come in from the rear of the head and along to the plugs together in the centre of the two cam shafts. On many cars there is an alloy cover plate over the wires all the way along the head. I have often thought of this being a potential problem.

I run my wires up from below through the gap in the intake manifold centre cylinders.

I am going to put some more wire separators on the Rover !

Hearing him talk about the external conditions effecting the misfire; like on a cold engine, or full throttle, make sense when you hear them, but it's no wonder you can spend years searching for a cure to a problem.

Yes, that worried me, that was a revelation to me.

Did he say a 4cyl is not likely to suffer, as the cylinders spark 180 apart? Same as the race engines he showed, they would be flat plain cranks, again each banks cylinders are firing 180deg apart.

Are we ok talking like this in the Non-Technical Lounge area, I think we should shuffle into the back corner....

The workshop manuals for the Rover V8 always have a good diagram for how to position the leads, follow it.

Great watch Harvey, I enjoyed that.
I have sat behind one of his two stage superchargers on two occasions now, oh there was a Merlin thing as well...

Is it just me or does that Rover engine sounds the best when Michele Mouton is driving it. She sounds as great in the post drive interview.
Can you fit one of those engines into a P6? Imagine a P6 sounding like that!

What were you doing last night that affected your performance Michele ?
Oh boy...... wouldn't you like to have been the cause......

What a brilliant man, I am sure he could have achieved more if the the strict regime of economic accountability hadn't been pursued so strongly thru the 70's and 80's.

Back in the day I worked for the NZ Post office in the Radio Engineering branch and the sort of work life ethos he describes was typical in my early days, people were given their head and some very innovative and clever work was done, it all changed as soon as the accountants were called in.
