Inner wing paint

After working on the engine bay I will be spraying it and the inner wings. But What type of paint to use. I've seen a lot of gloss inner wings, but I believe this was not original, as a semi gloss was used by Rover. Is this still around or anything like it that will take the heat in an engine bay ?

Dangermouse; did you find out which 2k-paint to use for the inner wings? I'm about to repaint the engine bay in my car and I want it to be as near the original as possible.

I did mine recently with POR-15 Rust Preventive Paint in Semi Gloss Black which looks very similar to the original finish, in my opinion at least.

The inner guards within the engine bay on my Rover, and indeed on most Rovers that I have seen locally (i.e for the Australian market) were all painted with a gloss finish. This paint will have been applied within the Leyland plant in New Zealand, where the Rovers were assembled.

Hi, I sprayed my v8s engine bay and boot area in satin black, I mixed 3/4 gloss with 1/4 matt cellulose, I was told this was the factory paint used in the 70's.

The level of sheen looks like the original finish.
I revealed factory original paint just like that under some flaky Matt black paint a while ago.
