Inner Headlamps Hazard lights

Hi now moving onto other niggles after speedo and fuel gauge. I don't have any inner headlamps working nor the main beam indicator on the dash. All bulbs are fine as I have checked these. Not sure if its linked but hazard lights don't work either. Is there a common fuse or relay for these.
Thanks
Neil

Hi, For the headlights check the fuses and then the column switch.

For the hazards try working the hazard switch in and out a number of times because it is little used the contacts can furr up and then only the lightest touch is enough for it to lose continuity on any one of the many contacts. You can get some strange symptoms from hazard switches. Switch cleaner can help here as well.

Hi I believe the column switch is ok as the flash operates on outers as well as dip function. So its fuses again. I think I am going to change this fuse box.

I may remove hazard switch to clean.

Thanks Colin

Hi, It could still be the column switch because the flash function power is supplied from elsewhere.

Hazard switch, just working it a number of times maybe enough, If you remove try and avoid dismantling it they are quite complicated. They switch batt power, ign power, ind sw, two flasher cans and both sides of the car in and out of circuit.

Hi inner lamps now working after a fuse change and terminal clean. Now just the hazard lamps. I believe the relay may be dead. Tried fuse and cleaning terminals but made no difference. Just waiting for electrical tester probe to arrive.

To check the Hazard flasher unit , disconnect the two wires and join them together, with the switch on you should then have all four lamps on steady. If they work its the flasher unit at fault
