ignition

hello gone have some questions about the issue with the ignition , let me try to explain watt wend rong .
i have a rover SD1 Vittese engine in my p6 its a 30A with came with a EFI . witch i have removed for MOT not aloud in belgium .
putt the richt inlet manifold in for the su hif 6 carbs . unfortunately the timing cover of de SD1 was broken on the water pump en beyond saving .
so i putt a timing cover from a p6 in with the upgrade for the oil pump . with the larger gears en the female shaft .
fitted in the pertronic ignition . engine did not run very well on idle but was able to take er out for a spin .
never had the feeling to drive a car with 190hp butt at least it drove .
until a week or 2 dan it was game over , no problem gone putt the luminition dat was mounted in the car dat i had dismantled last year .
dan i facet the problem with the gear of the oil pump it was stuck , no way to move without force . not ok en a reason to look further .
oil pump taken out shaft en gears stuck in the timing cover . so new timing cover p6 i thought butt without the spacer for the upgrade of the oil pump no more trust in dat .then i sow a treat on the gear of the camshaft witch drives the oil pump en the timing it s not the same for a sd1 engine
so this is where it already went wrong before even starting . so no timing cover from a p6 butt the real stuff for a sd 1 engine the ignition from luminition is also the wrong one its a 35d8 need a 35dlm8 , luckily Steve the seler of the timing cover had one lying on the shelf . only problem it's a landie ignition spec ERR 0744 for a RR Classic a 3.9 with 180 hp en 9.35 compression ratio. now the questions first is it possible to run the engine on this ignition en how is it going to act . is it possible to buy a conversion kit to bring it to sd1 spec thinking on the springs of the ballaster . witch is the right coil for this ignition , i have a coil from bosch serie 0221119027 don't know if this will do the job , en other one is the old pertronic flamethrower with 1.5 omh . if it's not the richt let me now witch one i need to buy . i think the system is balanced because the have removed the Alternator control box . the alternator is a ISKRA a copy for the bosch alternator ,will ad some pictures on the end . the two white yellow cables who go to the coil on the + side do i need to connect them or not ? don't want no gremlins any more so if i am overseeing something please tell me what to do . if i need to explain something better i will try to do datt . gone add some pictures to . i am gone stop or the will kick me out of this forum bloody Belgium's with their questions always . kind regards en stay safe please . cheers Marc
