How does the brake light switch look like on a 72 3500s LHD

I can't find any brake switch near the pedal box. It is one of the critical items to fix before MOT next thursday.

I can only speak about RHD cars, and they have a hydraulic switch on the fourway connector towards the front of the inner wing in front of the servo. IIRC some exprort cars (NADAs?) had a pedal switch.

rsz_120170706_235113.jpg My car has dual circuit brake system with a pdwa 5 way valve. There is no brake switch there. I found a switch situated on the torpedo wall clse to the brake pedal. This might be it ? Check the photo.

I can't think what that could be if it isn't the brake light switch.

You could join the wires that go to it together and see if the brake lights work.

Yes, I will try that. I just have to find the correct wires for it first. There wasn't any wires attached to it you see.

If it is the brake light switch and it has broken that type of switch is commonly used on motorcycle rear brake applications.

According to my parts list the brake light switch with the PDWA valve is in that valve block. Agree the part shown looks like a generic stop light switch off a motorcycle rear brake.

The switch was for the brakes. I found the correct wires and now I have brakelight! I also sorted out the reverse light and the number plate light.
Now I am struggling with the center console. Trying to attach the choke warning light switch and finding out how to attach all the wires and levers for the heating system to work.
