A lot of people (yourself included) would consider the SD1 Vitesse to be a classic, and this is the Classic Rover Forum, so I think you'll be OK here.
 
The SD1 has moved into the classic car category well and truly - One of our racing heroes - Denny Hulme - put one to good use. Welcome aboard overgrown.

I was looking at a SD1 model starting out, loved the shape etc and then ended up with a p6b S1 instead.
Not the first time that happened though, was searching for a mk3 Zephyr and ended up with a MK4 instead?!!
Some nice SD1 model up for sale here in NZ.
 
some people think the opposite, that the mk4 was a dog.
I had a good one and in a mint condition, until someone hit the rear right while I had parked on the main st here in Thames.
Heard a bang while working and went out to look and saw nothing,then the next morning noticed the damage when I came back from putting the rubbish out on the side of the road....gutted!
Still was a good car, racing green, tan interior, fitted some tridents, a real looker.
 
They were a million miles better than the MK3, I had all the Zephyrs and Zodiacs they only dog was the MK3, had 2 x MK4's one was a Police spec 4 on the floor car that car could fly!
 
I loved my MK2 most Zodiac Export model with overdrive.

For the MK4 Zodiac police spec was bucket seats, floor change, lowered suspension and probably a few other mods that I didn't know about, handled like a sled on rails. I bored the engine out to 60 thou over and did a complete rebuild and fitted headers, used to leave 289 mustangs and a lot of small block V8's in the dust.

I'll see if I can get some pics up? Please remember it's not finished though! Current spec is low compression 4.6 range rover engine with mild cam upgrade, it's a twin plenum vitesse , updated clutch, waiting for that to arrive, standard box, uprated prop with uj,s instead of cv joints, I hate to use the word bodykit , but it has arches spoilers meant for a number of different cars and a one off rear spoiler. Different lights etc etc. I call it a custom car but the purists will hate it I'm sure!
 
On this forum you will find that there are a lot of modified cars, no one will complain, any thing that isnt in the scrapper yard is a win!

Need help posting pics please? I have a 4G phone but no laptop or pc ! Got as far as image url but not much good to me as I'm no computer wizz! Lol
