Hi all,

All be it on another forum under another name im well known with over 20,000 posts, so im not shy when it comes to posting. That other forum hosts its own pictures but im in the dark as to how to on here, i know lost of people were using photo bucket but that now has issues for lots so whats best? bearing in mind im great with spanners rubbish with computers.

As for me, i was half century old earlier this year , have spent a life in the motortrade and modifying cars.
ive recently bought a V8 auto P6 which had been tucked away in a garage for 15 years, it didnt take much to get it roadworthy again, basically just overall all four brake calipers. i actually intended to sell it on again, but after driving it and realizing how much cheaper than a classic ford or bmw (im into both of them) a p6 is, and how nicer a P6 when power steers ( ive driven nots mainly non pas) i decided to keep it despite not liking autos.

Welcome, p6's are addictive, even auto's which like you I detest.

This site will allow you to load photos of appropriate (or inappropriate size too) directly without third party involvement however you can still use other hosting services such as Flickr and the like as you can import image links generally without issue.

Again welcome

Graeme

:D Yep but even so on my chrome browser it seems to auto reduce or click on to get full size, some of these forums use fairly clever software to get around user bodgyness.

A wash cut and polish will have you with a new P6! Red is always the best colour but then again I am biased by my own one.

Thats a fairly memorable plate number bound to be some on here that remember it from earlier days.

its been off the road since 2002, im only the 3rd owner, 2nd passed away and i bought it from his son, its only got 38,000 on the clock.
i grew up thinking p6's looked fantastic so ive always fancied having one, in recent years ive driven loads of them, but havnt felt i liked any of them enough to want actually own one, for some reason i took a shine to this, couple of reasons i guess. PAS makes them so much nicer to drive, secondly although its far from a shed it does want a lot of work to make it nice, so i can make it how i want it without pulling apart an already nice car. The purists wont like me, plans are to lower it, T5 manual box and give it some proper grunt. a v8 p6 was fast in its day but in modern traffic they are fairly tame, i want something worthy of the v8 badge, not looking for a rocket ship, but as a superbike owner and circuit racer its got to be pretty quick for me to find it entertaining, so a modified 4.6 is on the cards, which i suspect may lead to a diff upgrade!

doesnt appeal, i want to keep it more or less rover, or what rover could/would have done if they wanted to build a sporty modern p6
