Hello everyone

I joined the Rover P6 Owners Club shortly after it was formed and my membership number was 2**, two hundred and something or other.

I sadly had to get rid of the old dog (P6 3500S - 5 speed maual ERU 313L) a few years ago because of financial considerations.

I don't have a P6 at the moment but will be looking to changing that soon, I hope. I have to find somewhere to park it first though.

No guesses to what I am driving at the moment.

I do miss the old Rover and am starting to pine for one now.

Spec was a late block (No rope oil seal) 10.5:1 compression ratio, SD1 heads, lightened flywheel, custom made headers, 5 speed SD1 box, uprated shocks and springs, Reel Steel high presure oil pump, K&Ns etc. Produced 196 BHP, and went quite well ) Called it 'Thunderdog' because of that wonderful rumble from the exhaust 8) and its ability to leave the hot hatch brigade standing.

Apart from that it was debadged but otherwise standard.

Hi old 'un,

Welcome to the forum, and I hope you sooner or later get a P6 back in your life!
Your old P6 is still on the DVLA database, but only up to 1994! your guess is as good as mine.

Ta muchley

I have told them.

I bought the car in the early 1980s and drove it for years until it finally rusted away. I then put it in the garage and took it to bits, learned to weld and slowly, making my own panels, started to rebuild it from the ground up.

I never did finish it as a messy divorce go in the way and it just stayed in the garage for some years until I finally got a scrapyard to come and fetch it - or rather the bits.

I just found a Rover P6 3500S in Monza red on ebay and am sorely tempted, but need to build a garage first and the sellers attitude is somewhat lacking (No test drives until he has the money! )

My first ever car back in 197? was a Rover 2000TC, great car in arden green. JPR 196F.

And I've owned a couple of white 3500's too in the past.

Builder is coming round on Sunday to quote me for the garage 8)
