All three items have been added by previous owners, presumably, but wouldn't have been standard equipment as new. Dunno what that first item is next to the alternator!? The second one looks like it might perhaps be a kill switch to stop an electric fuel pump in the event of an impact. But I'm probably wrong! The third piece looks like it accepts a screw-in temperature sender to control an electric fan. If the temp sender can be changed when it fails without having to replace the whole pipe section in the top hose, that's quite handy.

First one looks like a vapour carbon cannister, probably connected to the carb overflow pipe. No idea about the second....last item holding an electric fan switch is becoming quite common these days, providing a way tofit such switches without modifying the radiator. When I had my rad overhauled I had a threaded boss fitted for a switch. Have an adaptor like no3 in another car,

Not so sure there John. Aside from charcoal canisters being rather larger in diameter, that item in Paul's photo appears to have two wires attached to it :hmm:

Ron.

Some charcoal cannisters have electrically operated purge valves to allow the inlet vacuum to suck out the vapours.

An update ! The black thing in picture one.
does have two wires attached these wires connect to the alternator, I’m hoping that will help narrow this one down

Hmmm :hmm: Maybe an external voltage regulator, or a car alarm. Have you found any switches unaccounted for Paul?

Ron.
