I need some help from the more knowlegable ones on here, please.
I am hoping to purchase some items off a car and neither I or the guy stripping the car have an idea of the honest value of the parts, so I am appealing to you guys for some estimates that won't rip him off or bankrupt me.

The items are a V8 manual pedal box and a steering wheel.
The car is the one in this post by Stephen79, http://www.classicroverforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=18293

Thanks a lot!

Ok...this just me OK...

The steering wheel...$5
The pedal box...$10

Blimey, do you want them delivery included for that?

I'd say £50 for both, (plus shipping) and if somebody wanted them but thought that was too much then I'd just keep them. Both parts have a reasonable value because of what they are. I have those steering wheels but I wouldn't even consider selling them for less than that, and even then, if the case arose I'd probably keep them anyway as really I see the value as higher. (That's not to say I'd get more though).

I concur. A standard steering wheel might go for a drink (which is all $5 is). A decent PAS wheel at least £20 sterling & we're talking in the UK where you'll find one without too much hassle.
And pedal boxes are desirable to anyone doing an auto/manual conversion. Harvey's got to be on the minimum money there or it's just not worth breaking or storing parts which is an expense in itself. It's good to help out fellow enthusiasts but let's not take the p*ss out of people.

IMHO.
