Help! Need Arden Green paint code ASAP!

My 1970 TC is at the painters for a respray of Arden Green.
I gave the body shop a list of paint codes I have found over the last several years.
The painter gave the list to the supplier and was handed a pint of metallic paint. He was told "All the supplied codes are for a metallic paint".
I was told when they tried scanning my rear quarter panel, and had a range of 12 tints, so couldn't make a match from a scan.
Has anyone had an Arden Green car painted lately and can get a workable code for me?

Here are the codes I supplied,
Arden green paint codes

1: Spies hecker - ref 69526

Tints

AL 222 193.5/lt

AL 225 368.0/lt

AL 205 477.1/lt

AG 201 478.7/lt

2: ICI ref 4881

3: Glasurit – 4881

4: Glasurit RM 8867

5: Dupont - 38509

Thanks for any assistance:

Roy

Hello Roy
My local paint supplier in the UK, who has been in business since the 40's, couldn't match Arden Green from a code as the base colours are 'no longer available'. He mixed up a small sample from currently available stocks but it was closer to khaki!
Arden Green is a great colour but not an easy one.

That said, I had work done on my Arden Green TC by Duncan and Nick at D & G last year and the match was remarkable.
I don't know if the paint was ordered from a spec code or matched to a panel by their supplier but Nick Dunning may be the man to help with this.

Best of luck with the repaint
John

If D&G are using cellulose I'd like to know where they get it as I want a litre of lunar grey matched to a panel

I'm coming to the conclusion that getting matching paint with codes and mix recipes is not possible. I've supplied the painter with a few more codes/recipes but have selected a very close alternative color if it all falls apart...

I got a few panels painted in Arden Green before Christmas and bought a couple of rattle cans too, but they were all scanned from an old pot of paint (at least 15 years old)that came with the car which I think was matched from the existing panels. I have no paperwork or notes with the formula the paint shop used though.

Does your paintshop have any swatches that you can select a similar modern colour from?

The painter came over last night with a swatch book that has holes in the middle of the color swatch to compare with car finish. He polished up my quarter panel and checked several dark greens. We selected a modern Jaguar dark green (very close match) to use if the paint supplier can't do any better with provided codes.

Respray finally coming along. My painter took on too much work so the panels I brought in March are just back now.
The wings and doors are done, the sills, valances, deckers, boot are ready for primer, just the roof and bonnet to be started on.
I might have a chance to drive my car before winter...

We're not. We got Arden Green off the scheme from our usual suppliers (Mitchells, Burgess Hill).

John's car had obviously previously been painted in number one shade 2K, it was a dead match.

cdn6 asked the same question last year and as D & G had done a perfect Arden Green match in 2K for me I attach the relevant part of Nick's post on the subject
