Hello all. My wife and I purchased this 1969 2000 Automatic. Saw it in a car show on the island that we live on, then the next day was up for sale at a local garage. Couldn’t resist!

Welcome Thosmosis. Looks like you bought yourself a nice car. What part of the world are you Rovering around in then?

Welcome, nice car. My Arden green 3500s came from eastern Washington. A number of Rover owners in the PNW. Frequent treks to Portland and Washington with mine. May run into ya someday...!

Hi Guys. Yes, In Washington, just west of Seattle. Shows 60K miles. Knocks quite a bit while running and really hates hills with anything more than 200 lbs in her... Just figured out how to find the hood release, and turn on the lights. Though, the way the lights work (Two switch activation) there could have been some electrical work done on her. We were told that a local islander had owned her. I bought it from the garage that worked on her. After the purchase, the owner of the garage handed me receipts for work done that equalled more than three times what we paid! The owner loved getting things fixed up and was on to another project.

Knocking while running could be the wrong grade oil - long shot

Lights are supposed to be a two switch thing.. one for the side, then the other adds the headlights

Hi
I had a '65 K code GT Fastback, but recently let it go.
I have a '65 289 slabside Cobra replica.

Coolest summer I had was when a friend had me “watch” his 1970 DeTomaso Pantera. 6 moths of joy rides. This was me showing off the car in a parking lot.

Mechanic pal maintains some of the high end collectibles owned here in the Napa Valley. Occasionally calls me to help deliver or pickup. Have been plugged into a few exotic ridesCobra 427 Up Valley 008.jpgRombauers Toys 007.jpgRombauers Toys 009 (Small).jpgRombauers Toys 009 (Small).jpg

Nice car, never seen an almond series one before.

A good service may help with the knocking, but it will never make it go up hill very well.
