i promise i,m a good un I just love landys, i have been rebuilding mine over the years, had a new galved chassis, props , petroltank ect, got him MOT,D then the engine was knocking , .. i was guided too drop the sump, check thr con-rod , bear in mind i didnt have a clue what any of these were, . one of the con rod bolts were bent .. so eventually took orf the head, too find a burnt out gasket, crack in the head , had the head skimmed ,just about too rebuild then noticed a crack in the block ... ooohhh nooooo... so LRUK , had a fund raise , got me a block , which i,ve just painted and now waiting for bits and bobs too rebuild , i,ve really enjoyed doing this , so too be onest i love telling the story.. gone from being a bored nmom too being hands on with the love of my life , Dirty Berty so thankyou all , if you want me too proseed and share the rebuild ,then i would live too , Take care all
Ah, the great bonnet spare wheel mount.
Shouldn't say it too loudly here but have one of those (modified) on a second boot lid for the MX5 so we could have a spare when went touring.
Something which will become possible again in Australia soon.
Have also used them on Commodores in the past.
These mounts are now becoming more difficult to find.
