Hello from Germany

Hello, I would like to introduce myself briefly.
My name is Bernd, I live in Saarland/Germany and I will be 65 years old this year.
I have always liked English classic cars.
I have driven a few in my life.
My first English car was a Super Seven Kitcar built by myself.
Then followed MGA 1600, MGBGT V8, Reliant Scimitar SE5a and currently I have a 1976 Mini Estate, a 1960 Frogey that I restored from 2014 - 2016.
Since 2 weeks I have a 1969 Rover P6 3500 to which I will ask some questions in the near future.

Greetings
Bernd

Sorry, I forgot the pictures

Wilkommen hier Bernd. Schönes Auto!
Arden Green over Sandalwood. Looks to have been very well looked after by the previous owner.
Many smiles per gallon to you sir.

Thank you for the answers.
The car was in Spain for the first 30 years, then in France and 5 years ago it came to Germany and now I have bought it. The colour is Arden Green.
Yes, it is in good condition, but there are a few scratches in the paintwork here and there. I don't think it has ever been restored.
Yes the glove box lids are padded.
Greetings
Bernd

They're standard gloveboxes, not the padded German-type

Looks like a good car. Front numberplate holder is missing, as is the spare wheel cover, and the front overriders look a little too close to the edge

A very nice buy!

Hello Bernd.
Welcome to these pages. Your P6 looks to be well loved and cared for by the previous owner.
You can ask any question on here without fear . There are many well informed enthusiasts lurking. For some reason they prefer pictures even if its just the local cat laying in the shade of your car.
Gerald

Hello Bernd! A warm welcome to the forum. That is a lovely example that you have, I hope that it gives you a great deal of joy.

Ron.

Hallo Bernd.

Welcome, that looks good and a relatively 'rare' colour combination now, which suits the car; I don't recall seeing that ignition key and start button set- up before, if that's what the button on the left is?

I note that the car was in Spain originally and I wonder if the registration plate was mounted as shown in order to provide slightly greater air-flow to aid cooling.

The left button was installed by the previous owner. It's for starting, but I don't know why he did that because the ignition switch is fine. When I meet him again I will ask.
I have fixed the number plate as it was, whether it needs to be different I don't know.
