Thanks for allowing me to join. I've only recently become the custodian of a 1969 Series 1 3,500 P6 and am looking forward to doing a bit of both driving and fettling so I guess I will be asking a few questions on the forum.

Hello, fine looking car. What colour is it? Looks non-original for an S1.
According to the paperwork that came with her, she started life as Burnt Grey, then by an MOT in 1988 the colour is given as Brown and then in 2013 at the MOT Blue. Not sure what shade but I like it even if the paintwork is in need of talc.

Maybe see you at Glamis or Scone next year all going well. Usually I restore bikes but thought seeing I'm the wrong side of 70 I would try something a bit more sedate.

Hello & welcome!

Interesting combination of parts & good-looking with it.

On the face of it, the non-opening rear quarterlights do date it as a '69 season car. It has been updated in the past, not only with side strips but with 'series 2' door handles too. Are those rear quarter panels vinyl covered as well?

I've not seen a later bonnet badge on an early bonnet before, either.

I really must get out more.....:LOL:

Hi Phil, I'm not sure about the various parts and their originality. I bought her because I liked the look of her. My pastime is normally motorcycles like this 750 Bonneville, but thought I would have a bit of a change. I guess when I've been able to compare her with others I might see the differences.

Aye I'm there every year. I'll be on The Glenisla Classic Vehicle Stand if you want to find me ;)
