Hello everyone from NZ

We have a 1971 Rover P5B Saloon which is now back on the road after 20 years up on blocks. It was my dad's pride and joy for about 20 years until 1995. It didn't take too much to get the engine going but we did need to do a lot of work on the braking system as all the seals were leaking. It was a bit of a mission to make up all new keys since we couldn't find the original ones anywhere. Have just managed to locate and repair a couple of small but very annoying radiator leaks today.

It's been a steep learning curve having to learn how everything works but we're slowly getting there. We've joined the Waikato Rover Club and hope to shortly be able to go on some outings with them.

We're very lucky in that we have a good friend and neighbour who used to work on these V8's in the UK, so it's great to be able to pick his brains and get very useful tips.

So, if anyone sees a P5B Saloon in 'Admiralty Blue' around the Waikato Area, there's a good chance it could be us!!

Re: Hello everyone

Welcome!
I would love a P5B but no more room in my garage, perhaps you could post some pics of your new / old pride and joy so I can vicariously feel the glow

Hi Graeme. I intend to take some pix as soon as we get a sunny day and can get out on the road again. At present it's having a cooling system makeover.
