Heater blower - Improvements

Are there any modifications out there to extract more power from the heater blower motor?
In my view P6 blowers were always a little weak on performance and although my car is original with 8k i would have expected better performance in line with other P6B'S that i have owned with higher mileage.Either the blower is inefficient or the general air flow design is poor?
I don't expect performance in comparison to todays cars but any increase would be welcome.
Any ideas?
Cheers

check that the air intake is clear of any built up rubbish that gets behind it..take the grill bit off and have a look and see..

hi rich j,
as you say they were no good when new, the cars with air-con have an excellent blower, obviously designed with having to blow ice cold air out they have a far superior motor in them. i have imported several from the states and they are all the same, excellent at blowing more power.

Hi Ian,would that mean just replacing the blower motor with the a/c alternative or the whole heater box assembly?
If thats the case could send me your number.
Many thanks

Thanks but thats not the issue..from new they were'nt great
yeah i know the p6 blower isnt great.but if the grill gets clogged up it wont work properly..and u will only get a slight draught come from the vents....

I used to think my blower was rubbish, and it really was. I asked around and was told that the seals were knackered.

Turns out that the bottom half of the box had turned to rust.

I also had a '74 V8 which had a great heater, not much of a blow but it really demisted well.
