6 weeks on and I have been feeling very smug as I inspected the garage floor each time I drove the P6 out for another cruise! nothing on the garage floor at all, giving me an enormous feeling of smugness and satisfaction, UNTIL TODAY!! I just noticed right under the engine block a small drip drip has been slowly making itself known on the white concrete, QUICK get a drip tray!!

drip trays were all the fashion back in the 70s when my Dad had vans, cars even motorbikes with drip trays, have you got one?

I remember the old adage "If there's no oil under it, there's no oil in it".[/QUO

I have a drip tray and an old sack in it. Easir to roll up and bin c/f a tray with oil and water sloshing about. The sack works well when you accidentally stand in the tray when you car is out.

I can remember years ago you walked down nearly every street and you could see oil patches on the road here and there from parked cars, even with leafs stuck to the oil,
no one worried to much about it back then most cars of that age leaked a little oil, an old neighbour of mine many years ago always parked his car over his driveway drain so the oil would not stain his driveway
I had the same problem with a classic car once I found lots of cleaning of the area with a rag and a torch and when you come back from a run do the same until you can find the leak sometimes its a simple fix sometimes its very hard to see where the leak is coming from let alone fix it.
