Gorgeous S1 2000SC on carandclassic.co.uk

Cracking looker as you say :)
I understand the non std bits having read the description but wonder how the later door handles got there :?
It wouldn't put me off though, as my car looks like a parts dept explosion over several decades :p

That's lovely. The doors locks look standard to me...are you seeing something I'm not???

Cheers

Maybe  I thought the handle pulls would be series one type at that time, were those later type already available in '67? I'm sure I've had cars on an H plate with S1 handles :? Could be a memory hiccup I suppose

I'd love to see a close up of the re-vamped dash arrangement as it looks pretty 'fully stocked' from the exterior shot of the car...

Look like S2 handles to me as well!,,
Maybe part of the export upgrade? Is that side strip the rare narrow one?

The reflectors are in the later palce too :?
I know nothing about the export stuff TBH so hopefully someone can enlighten me :)

It's certainly had a few upgrades. S2 Door handles and rear pillar badges, extra S2 reflectors. It's also had a bootlid handle fitted. It's hard to tell from the pictures but the side strips look like the aftermarket stick-on type. I quite like the side marker lights, I wonder if they're the NADA/P5B type or something generic?

Hi,
i know the car and they are the real and rare genuine narrow strips that were available for the series 1 cars. like the advert says the guy worked at rolls royce and did his own upgrades, electric wing mirrors ( yes ugly ) electric aerial, electric windows ( very well done ) as the instruments inside.

Ditto. We need some more detailed pictures. I'd like to see the custom tool kit too.

Do I note perished rubber on the jacking point  nit picking in the extreme lol it is a real nice motor, wish it were mine :D , but I like that 2nd 3500S even more.

Certainly is a nice car,but I wonder as to how old the tyres really are :| if they are original I don't think I'd be trusting them to go far :x

There's a picture of the toolkit but rather than being custom-made it looks like a straight forward Rolls-Royce item fixed in.
The front inner wings look to have an angle rather than curving down. Is that usual on early cars?
