Gaz shocks fitting problem.

Put the shocks on yesterday and went for a short drive with them set at their softest (they seem very stiff compared to the Koni's they replaced).
A lovely soft ride as expected. Had another drive set at 10 clicks (2.5 turns from softest setting) which is 2 clicks from hardest. Still a nice ride but starting to feel like a sports car with noticeable bumps. Now have set to 6 clicks which is the middle point. Seems okay for now. May adjust later if needed.
What's strange about these shocks is that one has 12 clicks and the other has 14 clicks between softest to hardest and yours has more again.
We're coming into winter but salt on the roads isn't a thing so all year round driving is viable (except my heater needs an overhaul). If I change the settings I'll let you know.
Thanks again for all advice which is greatly appreciated.

The problem which I had with my Gaz Shocks was that on the fronts I only had 6 clicks in total . I tried all the options,2 clicks ,4 clicks ,nothing seem to make a difference. I phoned Gaz and was told I should have the same number of clicks on the fronts that I had on the rears which was approx 16 clicks . The really helpful gentlemen at Gaz said that sometimes ,from new , the adjuster gets stuck and needs a gentle nudge to free it . I followed his advice and took the shock to 6 clicks and then put on a bit of pressure and the adjuster freed off and I had 16 clicks . Problem solved . I hope this helps .

Funny you mention this. I had a replacement Gaz sent out for one of my MG's that had it stuck on hard from when I purchased it.. (Couldn't drive with my teeth together in fear of breaking them). The one they sent me wouldn't adjust at all! Their advice was to hit the adjusting knob with a hammer.(not too hard mind you) Reluctantly I did and fixed it. Tried hitting my faulty shock to no avail though. They said they get knocked about in transit which causes issues like this.
