I think there's a connection with when I put it in gear auto. The fuse blows and car turns off
If it helps.

Hi, To blow a 35A fuse is an indication that there's a dead short to earth somewhere. Your comment about it does it when put in gear, is it from park? if so then check the loom down to the inhibiter switch has not chaffed through or been pinched between the engine and gearbox. The supply for the reverse light part of the switch is fused.

As an aside this is why ignition coil, electronic or points, should be wired direct from the ignition switch and not from the nearby washer pump. If the fuse does blow you are left with a dead engine and trying to find what has blown the fuse to get going again. which could be at the side of the road in a rainstorm at night!!

Yes it's from park sounds exactly like the problem
The car not on the road yet will have to get this wired properly how the best way to get to inhabitor switch from underneath I suppose
Thx
