Hello all,

In need of a good working sender with olives to fit a S2 V8. Wins are saying out of stock, eBay likewise.

Othewise, any repair advice welcome, seeing as eg. older Land Rover ones are readily available NOS and could have transferable components?

hi, when I was going to replace mine I called round and I managed to find one with a company n the p6 club magazine however he wanted mega bucks (well over 200 I think) he then promptly told me that they rebuild p6's all the time for racing and they don't bother they just cut a new hole in the tank and run a different type.

they aren't terribly hard to fix. I've got a couple spare but beofre yougo pulling out the old onehave youchecked the guage end and the voltage stabiliser on the back of the guages? the sender unit mounts withthe pickup in a plate at teh bottom of the tank. I've had a couple which had broken the copper strap which runs to the actual unit at the top. I soft soldered a piece over ther break and had no more trouble.
