Fuel pump removal

I have found that my fuel pump is a little leaky (especially when i park it down hill).I have been advised to tighten the screws on the underside - but I can't get to all of them, two being obstucted by other components. I thought I'd remove the pump to have a good look at it and perhaps sort the leak that way. Is it really as simple as disconnecting the pipe and undoing the 2 bolts securing it to the engine?

thanks

Yes it really is that simple Van.

I have done the job at the side of the road with minimal tools when a pump went in a big way - a friend delivered a secondhand pump after a quick call on the mobile.

...however it is a pain getting the bolts back in, you have to be patient and make sure that they really are in BEFORE you go for the speed wrench to tighten them up - they are easy to cross thread.

...you could consider an electric pump - find an XJ6 and nick the one in the boot!
