front suspension

I have replaced the bushes on the nearside front suspension on my 1975 3500 automatic. The only part I replaced is the lower link. The front wheel now sits further forward and catches the front wing. My question is this. Is the lower link a different length from the 3500 to the 2000/2200? What else could I have done wrong?
Thanks, John

Thanks for the reply. I had a horrible feeling that was the case. I've had this arm for ages and didn't realise the difference. We live and learn!

IIRC it was to give the V8 engine a bit more room. They're handed as well, so careful which side you fit them.
