Get hold of this type of spring compressor. Hire one, borrow one, beg one, whatever it takes! Don't use anything else, the spring will want to come free of lesser spring compressor clamps, and will try and take your head clean off your shoulders! Others here will tell you I'm over-doing the fear factor, but I reckon a proper chunky big compressor tool like this is the only safe way. Be safe, and lucky.
