Welcome aboard, hopefully you'll get as much enjoyment out of your P6 as I get from mine. They are great cars, and are some much more fun than an Escort.....

Hi All P6 enthusiasts,
I am, for my sins,a lapsed Club Member and glad to have found this website from a Google search for P6 bits. My 3500S needs recommissioning after a 4 year period up on bricks in dry storage when I was unable to use her.
I currently have the engine out for renewal of core plugs in engine and inlet manifold (due to sludging near top vent pipe-a common problem on elderly V8s) plus other work on cylinder heads and ancillary equipment. I aim to have her back on the road in spring 2008 with the intention of attending some events including the Norwich Union Classic (which she last did as the Guardian Classic in 1998).
Good to be back amongst P6 owners.
:D

Hi,

I've only just spotted this thread!

I have many fond memories of my first P6. I was 18 years young, so it would have been about 1990. I bought it off a guy called Eric. (This is part of where the "Erik The Viking" comes from!)
I can remember that all the young Dudes had there XR3i's, and RS Turbo's, and there's me growling about in a choccy brown V8 P6. I do remember that it sounded really cool the day that the exhaust back box dropped off!!
It was Mexico Brown, with a Huntsman Roof, and Buckskin cloth interior. I think that the guy who bought it off me scrapped it in the end. RIP GAV 454N. All I have left of that car is a couple of dog eared old photo's, and a lot of good memories

Hi Everyone!!

My first P6 was a Series 2 3500 Auto, in arctic white, bought for £50 when i was 15!! The car was a wreck, but the engine was low mileage and perfect!! In the end the car was scrapped, and the engine went to someone who probably wont ever do anything useful with it! Shame really!

Im now 20, and onto my second P6, a series 1 V8 in Black! This is a rolling restoration, but should be done in time to attend all of the Rover rallies next season!

Phil
