Finally we have our 3500 auto on eBay

That is bloody lovely...! I wish mine had that much history with it...!!! That V8 is going to make somebody very happy indeed...

That must be one of the best eBay listings I've seen for a long while Nick. Great stuff!
She really looks great too, lovely and original with that 'correct' feel. I'm really tempted to get bidding myself! :)

She is a sleeping beauty - we paid good money for her and she'd not been used really at all in the last 20 years (MOT'd twice in that time, but almost no miles under the wheels). She has had a lot of work, but when I cleaned her up/got years of dust off her it has all paid off. Lovely motor.

Driving this I think there's no competition in the power steering vs. no power steering arguement - it's beautifully weighted and a complete delight to drive. Gimme power :D

She hasn't that much history - but she is certainly one family owned, and not abused. Lovely car.

Cracking looking 3500 you've got there Nick, you seem to have a knack for finding the good ones

Nidge

Quite a lot of hard work actually - this car was for sale for over a year on the P6 Club website - the guy wanted very unreasonable money for it. I still paid a lot for it, but it is a lovely car and has come up beautifully (after new plug leads, brakes etc. etc. etc.)

Cheers
Nick

I thought Nick had got "The Doctor " to write his advert

I haven't seen one of his recently, they're usually literary masterpieces!

My prices are a bit more 'real world' than the venerable Doctor :D

The Doc is still trying to part with that 'incredible' Mexico Brown 2000SC he put up a while ago....£6750!!!

I've got my eye on a nice looking two owner 3500 Auto at a dealer that's nowhere near that money.

Nidge

There was something moody going on as the car was also put on eBay by someone else....methinks The Doc never actually parted with it.

Too much money...that's my answer. That car does look the business but I've never heard of a 4 cylinder car going over say £4k. Even, for example, my 1964 car wouldn't probably make that much over that.

The fact that it's still up for grabs says a lot. There are folk who wouldn't part with that much for a mint Mk1 Granada, never mind a four pot Rover. Given time though Nick, I think the really early cars such as yours will gain in value, there can't be that many '64 2000s about in such good condition.

I've been looking at various 60s and 70s saloons recently and the P6 still gives you far more car for your money, even if prices are rising slightly here and there.
