Few pics of before and after

Looks great, but what did you do to the seats to get them to look so good. Repair or replace? Mine are ripped and in a bad way and would like to somehow get them sorted. Any help advice would be most appreciated.
Many thanks.
Dave

Hi Dave
I reskinned the fronts
then used leather dye to restore and recolour.
The backs eere just a restore and recolour.
End result was as you see excellent, hard part was finding decent skins ,i got different bits from all over to make 2 good fronts.Yhe drivers was hard to source and i used a passengers skin on the seat back ,with some adapting i made it fit ok.
Cheers

Wow. You have done an excellent job. Where did you get the skins from? Did they need more foam as mine has lost it's shape, but worse are the tears which some are on the stitch, but worse across the material itself.

I searchedthe net for breaking cars scrap yeatds etc and belive me i went all over buying seats for either the base or back till i had enough to complete 1 seat. If i remener right i used a lot of passenger seat foam etc to make drivets seat good

Yes, but the fact the car is almost 50 years makes it even harder to find decent seats. I also think trying (mine) to stitch leather seats on the stitch line with material that's aged would be difficult...

I know its at a cost but i used a car upholsterer on previous cars and they put insets of same or really similar leather or material into damaged seats.they repaired a cig burn in my capri ghia material part and you could not tell
