A bit of a Madame Marmite but l rather liked her & she drove extremely well with the Holley & hot cam. I had her for one morning only, buying her in Loughton then driving her straight over to Thatcham & Rich Moon who l'd already done a deal with as l already had too many cars. There was no profit involved bar the Holley which l was going to keep though later we settled on a polybushed rear end which (mostly) Harvey & me fitted to the Aircon V8 that l eventually sold to.....Rich Moon. :D
He sold the estate on soon after but she hasn't been taxed since then (2006) & seems to have gone to ground once more. I bought her to save her mainly, the guy l bought from got her from a mate who had claimed her in lieu of unpaid work he'd carried out & she'd sat around for a long time which seems to be the continuing story of her life.
Anyone know anything?

Interesting fender work there, particularly the rear. I see there is a forward mud flap to stop water ingress, a bit of an issue when you clearance that area.

I saw you’d posted this on Facebook. I like the arches, they work nicely. Shame it’s not been driven much after all that work went into it

Are those rear light/bumpers Sherpa/LDV Pilot?

Not much reading going on in Debden Library by the looks of it. Nothing new there then.....

What was it like to drive with those wide front wheels and low profile tyres? What kind of wheels were they? Compomotive?

Its a wee bit fugly, really dont think the Nada scoops do it any favours, as for the tail lights thats just personal choice but they dont float my boat.

It was a long time ago & l only had a couple of hours driving time but l don't recall anything untoward with the ride. They rode smoothly & direct enough l think. I do recall performing some smart foot down, in-out overtakes which were quite exhilarating.
Someone on Farceache has suggested the wheels may be Azev's. If so they're certainly not cheap.
