Have this spare electronic SU fuel pump that l want to replace the smaller one. It does leak from inlet and outlet unions, can they be fixed, is there a rubber o ring that'll fix it?

How are the outlets sealed to the body? Huco have O rings in theirs. If the yellow stuff around the valves is plastic that has hardened, that might be the problem. I hope the irony of saying an SU (=Skinner Union) is leaking at a Union is not lost on everybody!

It looks very similar to the Huco only metal bodied. As said the Huco uses "O" rings which are the weakness in the design as they are easy to "pinch" when seating the unions.

When I first went to change the inlet & outlet angles I found the Orings were lubricated (good thing), but it did take a little care to get them back in place properly.

There are a limited no of options to seal fuel pump connections, and none of them are completely maintenance free. Those with banjo bolts and copper washers , when disturbed, need new washers, or the old ones annealed, to prevent leaks. Fibre washers dont have long lives in my experience. O ring seals for low pressure pumps would seem to be the cheapest solution, but require a little care in fitting. I have a box full of assorted Orings, so I hope something in there will work when one is needed on the Huco.
Saw an ad in an auto shop today for an electric pump for carbs, and it listed pressure as 14 psi......I suspect that would cause problems with many carbs.
